Major in Sports Studies - Athletic Development Major in Sports Studies - Health & Exercise Major in Sports Studies - Business & Society Minor in Sports Studies The Sports Studies Department at Bishop’s Universi ty provides an intensive study of sport and exercise in society with a primary focus on three themes: Ath letic Development, Sport Business, and Health and Exercise. The Sports Studies program and its cours es are designed to encourage students to adopt an interdisciplinary perspective of the intricate dimen sions of sport and exercise while acquiring in-depth knowledge in at least one area of specialization. The curriculum has also been designed to allow students to develop the liberal education competencies pro moted by Bishop’s. In addition, the program provides opportunities for practical experience in professional settings as well as research opportunities.
